To get started on Give Me 10, pick a few goals…
Think big and go broad — practical and magical; right brain-left brain; mind-body-spirit. Remember the things you daydream about and say, “I wish I had learned to…”, “One day I’d love to…”, “As soon as things calm down I’ll…” Also think about those things that have been on the to-do list forever, waiting for just the right time to tackle.
There’s no limit here – my dream to take a family trip to Europe is right up there with my hope that I can find the scissors in the first drawer I look (I may call it “Create peaceful and orderly home life” just to make it sound more impressive).
If you’re looking for ideas (or reminders of long-suppressed dreams and goals you thought you’d never have time for) take a look at these Goal Lists.
Pick a few goals and jot them down. You may want to start a little notebook, or part of a notebook, or some sheets of paper to collect your thoughts. At the top of each page, write a different goal:
Goal 1:_______________________________________________________
Goal 2:_______________________________________________________
Goal 3:_______________________________________________________
Goal 4:_______________________________________________________
Goal 5:_______________________________________________________
OK, you have your goals? It may help you to clarify them by writing a Vision Statement. Don’t panic! This will not be hard or take too much time!
Very interesting article, thanks. Keep up the good work.
